MDI² is committed to providing an accessible website for people with disabilities.

Our standard

We aim for the public MDI² website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2, Level AA. WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA requirements are included within that target.

Accessibility features

  • Keyboard-operable navigation, controls, links, and video playback
  • A skip link that moves keyboard focus to the main content
  • Visible focus indicators and logical heading structure
  • Text and controls designed to meet Level AA contrast and target-size requirements
  • Responsive layouts that support small screens and browser zoom
  • Reduced-motion support and a pause control for continuously moving portraits
  • A complete text alternative for the silent VirtualHip demo video
  • Structured HTML alternatives for program documents that were originally supplied as untagged PDF files

Testing

On July 31, 2026, the public pages were reviewed with automated checks and manual keyboard, focus, responsive layout, contrast, motion, media, heading, and document inspections. Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility, and a passing test does not guarantee that every person will have an identical experience with every combination of browser and assistive technology.

Legacy files

Some original PDF files are retained as legacy downloads and may not be fully tagged for assistive technology. The primary links point to accessible HTML versions. If an alternative does not meet your needs, request the information in another format.

Feedback and alternative formats

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need information in another format, or have difficulty using a feature, contact MDI² through the contact page. Please include the page or document name, the problem, your preferred format, and a way to respond. Do not include patient information. We will make a good-faith effort to acknowledge the request promptly and coordinate an accessible response.

Technical compatibility

The site uses standards-based HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies. Very old browsers may not support all presentation features, but the core content remains available.
